I know that the author is working on "Suikoden III," but will there be any new Qwan books?
Especially with the afterword in book three talking about a fourth book.

As you saw in Vol. 3, the author had every intention of releasing a fourth tank...unfortunately, it has yet to come out in Japan. And as I understand it, Qwan has also been on hiatus from its magazine for a while now, too. -_-
My guess is that Shimizu-sensei has just been super busy with Suikoden.

I was wondering if that happened. I have searched the net for a while trying to find interviews about it but with no luck. Thank you for replying.
I read the plug in the last section, "My Cat Loki." I liked the story but was a little confused because of all the random switching between cat and humanoid form. I can't wait to read it fully.
I really hope Shimizu-sensei brings out a new Qwan novel soon.

Just a question. Has Qwan been cancelled? I only ask because I've seen no sign of when the next volume is coming out, on the calander or otherwise. Of course I could just be blind. Hope the answer is no, because Qwan is one of the best new Mangas I've seen around. Love the story, and love the art.
Thanks

Pretty sure it is still running in Japan in a magazine, but we've caught up with the Japanese book release.

Good to hear that the series is still continuing! I didn't think it was canceled, but I had been wondering what happened to it. Qwan is currently one of my favorite titles. I really adore the writing and artwork in the series. I was originally introduced to Qwan through Shimizu-san's work on Suikoden (another one of my favorites).
Looking at the original Japanese release dates on both Suikoden and Qwan, it seems that Shimizu-san does 2 volumes of Suikoden a year, and 1 of Qwan. It's not surprising then why Qwan is a slow release. I presume it runs in a monthly (or even bi-monthly?) anthology in Japan.

Man I love Qwan. It's a great shounen action manga, and it's fun to say. I've read the three volumes that are out, but volume three ended on a cliff-hanger. There's no mention of a volume four on the Tokyopop site, and it's been over six months since vol.3 was released. What's up?
Edit: Geez, sorry about the new thread. Somehow I missed this one ^_^;.
