Hello everybody.
My name is Andrew and I have been working on multiple comics for a long time and have recently fallen into great interest of Manga and Anime. I have been writing stories my whole life. I remember in Grade three, I was ahead of everyone in writing.
Recently I have decided to pull together a 25 (around that) page manga comic. I need artists... inkers... and toners. There will be many jobs for people. If you do your own manga from start to finish without anyone else's help then you will need to sign up for your best job when you make your manga. I need refrences from people with a small portfolio of your work.

The Machine
The year is 3029 and a war has broke out in space. It is caused by a giant machine from a different galaxy. The whole human race has been wiped out except for a small group of forty people. Together they try to live underneath the ground of mars without being found. They build robots together to fight The Machine in hope of victory.

We are sticking with that idea now. Me and extriandreamer are putting together the storyline. If you have idea's or comments pm me.

i usually notice that people dont like to volunteer in any sort of project unless there is some money involved :/ people are basically going to be working for you. what do you have in return? (people have to be motivated, right?)

I'm not very good at robots, but this project will surely give me a chance to practice them! I draw very well humans, of course n__n I finally managed to do the anatomy right.

Dont count on being the artist. I HAVE had an application so I will be debating on which one I will pick for the artist. You need to PM me as soon as possible with some examples. Read the first post please.



Well this is coming together good now. We need a colorist and if we are not using color we need a toner.

Wow, congratulations! Good luck with your new project.

Don't feel to bad. Losing a colourist isn't a huge deal at this point, as the story doesn't seem to have been written yet, and the story still has to be penciled and inked before it gets coloured. That should give us enough time to find a replacement :).

Dang... its getting worse and worse. And whoever said I dont need a co-editor... IT'S REALLY HELPFULL. I guess I could do it on my own. Anyone want to take the job?

And crap... Purtalic... you sure you cant do it? :( That sucks. Now I have to find a new artist, co-editor and colorist. Well... is there ANY chance you can still do it?

lol u dont have to send me ideas if you dont want to lol. well, you probably have the job because i doubt purtalic can handle all of this. so I will plan out the characters and let you know sometime this week what they should look like.

go to a manga store or chapters and pick up a "how to draw anime: mecha" book. if not try to find something on the internet. draw me one full picture of some sort of machine ppl control. thats your "homework" lol. i need to see if you can do it

I just bought not long ago a how to draw manga book about robots, machines etc..!!
I hate robots, seriously, that's why I wanted to get involved in this XD I don't want to hate them, I wanna learn to love them XD they seem so complex and detailed....but I'll do my best!! I'm currently drawing a robot, step by step, it doesn't look as bad as I thought, I actually like it very much n__n
Yeah, as soon as I finish at least the two main characters I'll pm them to you n__n

i really liked what you just said. its good to practice things you HATE and SUCK at because it improoves your drawing in overall.

dont make characters... just make one ROBOT. not characters yet. there will be some things i need to tell u about characters

and skull khid we havent actually STARTED the drawings and stuff yet. I am still working on characters, scripts, plots ect. We will post a few previews on our soon to come website. The whole thing will be done at the end of this year, latest; i think.
