Apple today announced that Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard will go on sale Friday, August 28 at Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers, and that Apple’s online store is now accepting pre-orders. Snow Leopard builds on a decade of OS X innovation and success with hundreds of refinements, new core technologies and out of the box support for Microsoft Exchange. Snow Leopard will be available as an upgrade for Mac OS X Leopard users for $29.

:( I want it! But, I have bills to pay... ._. I wonder if ill regret it if I buy it. Would you buy it?

MS exchange isn't "teaming up". It's common-sense allowing the use of the mos tpopular web server around.

I want it too. Its a 29 dollars upgrade for leopard users i believe and 169 dollars for tiger users.

Now that I look properly at what they're doing...they're introducing functionality that Windows computers had years ago until it became obsolette and unnecesary.

Like, seriously. Exchange server's something most users don't use, and exchange client's been replaced by just using Outlook or any other email client. I like how they spin it as "not even Windows PCs have it!" tho.

So, I tried the snow leopard. Whoever buy the software it is a waste of money. It is 4 times worse than Mac os x 10.5 :mad: Hell nah! Mac Os X is the best.

What's "worse" about it? I still use 10.4.11 so I dunno anything about either.

:P well.... 10.5 has many new features advance, plus is faster. The graphic awesome 3D...like Window 7 is described. <.<

10.6....
1.It is 3 times slower
2.Its says that my battery needs to get charge when my power cord light is telling me is full charged, and i checked the battery from the back same thing is charged 100%. By the way, you can't change your battery to normal, or better, or better performance battery save. Sucks!

4.I have to download an extra application to my tecqtool apple care blah blah because it didn't worked the currently one i have......for some reason 10.6 don't like it.

My conclusion is the only changes you will noticed if you get snow leopard are to make it slower and stupid Mac version. <.< So ya...I'm going to back to my lovely 10.5 :o

Meh. I'm happy with 10.4. My sister's Macbook has 10.5, and I'm not a huge fan of the they switched up the filing system (or atleast how it looks). You probably get use to it I'm sure.

I see where win7 comes from now.

Ouch. I got a sub 2ghz cpu, and ddr2 memory. Super inadequate for a cool dude liek me. Guess I have no chance of scoring.
