I havent made manga before and tried once but only finished like 1 - 2pages and it was weird..XDDD....anyway..I guess I could show you some of my drawings and doodles only..>__<...
(btw..I do draw manga striped layout sometimes when I am designing some of my characters..^__^)....

I also believe that there is a "heart" to everything, you just have to find it yourself through different experiences..(hehe..I might be confusing ppl right now..XDD)...anyway, I look at manga as an emotional way to tell a story,
and I just love different types of stories1! ^o^ kinda obsessed...but I am more addicted to drawing though..hahaha......

hmm..I\ve thought of that too and I had a try before but it didnt turn well cos I only used pencils...xDDD but anyway, I did this yesterday, with my writing pen and pencil!^__^

I wish I had a scanner to keep the eadges neat though..>__< and a program to give those screentones, cos I dont have any of those, I gotta do screentomes and highlights by pencil..*______*

You're welcome. That's great that you do, because it's something that I really believe in. :)
I agree, I think a great manga is one that has the ability to get the emotions of the characters through to the readers.

As for your sequential art, I don't know the story behind it, but I think the page looks good overall (especially for doing everything by hand). It must be tough making all of your own screentones by hand -- have you tried the free trial version of Comicworks (http://www.deleter.jp/eng/cw_english/info-download.htm)? It has some screentones already built into the program ;) .

oh not yet, my mum said that she might buy a scanner soon(partly cos I've been like talking about it for ages..XDD) ...and usually a free trial version only last about 30 days and I am not sure when my mum is gonna buy one(she just said quite soon)..so i thought I would actually download it when my mum have brought the scanner cos then..I dont need to adjust size and stuff..xDD

p/s:hmm I was wondering, I've heard some people re-downloading free trial versions of many stuff, are they like super code breakers or something..O___O/...

...oh and about this story on my experimental piece of manga above, the story is..random..XDDD I just added some speedch bubbles to see different effects it can give...XDD

I don't think there is a time limit on the trial version. I'm sure there are people who can crack the code and keep other programs for free, but I'm not one of them XD But the trial version doesn't have as many features and screentones as the full version, so paying $100 and getting all of the features would be better than keeping a trial in my opinion.


are you sure there isnt a time limit for trials? cos for paint shop pro, there was one for 30 days and so was photoshop....but anyway, ..

I will have a go at comic works..*clicking the button*..but I doubt I will get my ways through though..xDDD

I have been doodling a bit last time,
when I doodle..I never use a rubber..if bits gone wrong..then oh well cos it's just doodling..XDD

this art is >bloody beautiful!!!< i rellay klove the syle, and my god!! you work wonders with your pencil!! (alot of those were drawn in pencil right?) thru had so much depth to them, it was beautiful! even thout tones i tihnk you could create a really awsome artmoushpere in a comic uisng just your pencil! @A@ ::love::

how do u make those eyes?
oh..I just start with the outside first then the pupil..then draw out the flection on the eye and colour the eye in(the part which I hsate..cos I am rubbish at colouring..>__<)

You could try using a different tone (with smaller dots). The official Comicworks tutorials are here, and cover a lot how to use the tools, so it should be helpful Nice doodles by the way, your art style sort of reminds me of Aoi Nanase!
