Well, we all know there's more than pocky and sushi.
I'd like to see an entire culture's diet consist just of those two things.
Let's hear what's really deep at the core of the minds of the culinary geniouses of Japan. Give me some rare and little-known Japanese foods.

Rice. Yeah. How foolish of me to forget. My parents could never cook rice very well. The last time I had it was at taco bell. o.o;

Ew...
That aside there's SO MUCH to Japanese cooking.
Most of it is pretty good, too. Something I happen to be craving would be stewed fish and daikon radish (buridaikon) mmm...

Fugu. It's a poisonous blowfish that will kill you if not served properly.
I'm not kidding. People eat it so that they can brag. It doesn't taste very special, I hear.
Oh, and there's Whale burger, but it sucks that they keep whaling endangered whales.

Fugu is great fish! They leave a bit of the poison on the fish, so it numbs your tongue. It is called the taste of death.... Yes, it is the best damn sushi ever.... Better than ahi!!

Holy crap! DAIKON! :P
But I couldn't live without gyoza. I admit it, I only eat asian for fingerfoods. :P
(Give me gyoza from Japan, egg rolls and cheese filled wontons from China and lumpia.... I'll be hurting while it digests but damn it will be worth it.)
