Uploading your own Avatar

I'm new, so I could use some help on this. I have my own avatar I wanna use, but am confused as to how to upload it. I tried to do it in my options menu, but it only sent me to a place where I can select an avatar already uploaded. How do ya do it?

Go to your control panel. On the left side click Edit Avatar. You can either link it from a host site like Photobucket or load a Jpeg image from your computer as long as the maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
