I'm not expecting much from any of you (sorry).
Favorite J-Indie band would have to be Toy Missle, second only to Art-School.

Lemme name one very popular one right now: Melt Banana.
I do like that perfect hair show.
eX-GIRL is another favorite of mine.
Boom Boom Satellites, Acidman, PE'Z, The Back Horn, Polysics, GO!GO!7188, Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re

I prefer the girls over the guys for the most part though.

Sorry to break it to you.......Acidman and polysics have big album deals now. they can be considered indie still but they are definitely mainstream.

Mainstream? Yes. Still J-Indie? Always and forever.
They will never forget the fans that were with them since the beginning. I think if a band still sends replies to letters and is still intimate with their fans they will always be J-Indie.

Anyway, I suppose if I had to name just a few of my favorite Japanese indie groups, I'd have to say Win a Sheep Free, Sequence Pulse, Sugar Plant, Quruli, Great 3, and Fujifabric. There are quite a few more, but it'd take too much time and energy to post. Plus, I'm sure nobody really cares all that much about them, anyway. XD

My sister listens to SOUL'd OUT. I dunno why, cause the main guy's voice grates on your nerves, but *shrug* The afros are always awesome to see.

I only listen to pure major, mainstream ****. Manufactured Johnny's groups are the way to go. If I ever say I listen to anything else, don't pay attention.

Well, tetsu69 is good, but i think so because he's hot. But anyway, the pillows were the ones that got me hooked, but i'm not really sure, Luna sea and pierrot are good. but so are asian kung fu generation. I like antic cafe too.

None of those bands are considered J-Indie anymore.
-- And they aren't that good to their fans either.

Especially AKFG. Those guys are kinda mean...... The pillows are ok. They came to Acen last year so I'd assume they aren't doing THAT good anymore.

Um...I'm not really sure if it's indie, but it's Jrock. Psycho le cemu and the pillows. the pillows are bigger here, but i think that they are more indie there. Alot of J indie sounds the same. La'Cryma christi, Janne Da Arc, and all those others

PLC was major, then went back to indies after the Daishi **** and then they broke up. So I guess they're technically indies. La'Cryma Christi and Janne Da Arc are both major and have been for 10+ years.
