Immortal Rain

I have a burning question... many of my friends want to know... What happened to Immortal Rain? It seems to have stoped mid-story! Sites are saying volume 6 is the final volume, but I think I remember the end of volume 6 having a preview for a volume 7, and I definitely don't remember a conclusion!

Thank you soooo much I have been dying to figure this out. It is an awesome story, underrated if you ask me. ^_^

The series is releasing very slowly in Japan. Book 7 will be coming out pretty soon but then there will be another long wait till book 8.

Yes, there is a book 8. It would be a bit odd to leave the story hanging as it was...book 8 is the final volume though, and I believe it's been completed now in Japan. A prequel, Shinigami of the East has also been released.

Does anyone know if Tokyopop is going to complete the series?

Actually, volume 8 ISN'T the last volume. It was finally been released in English just last month, and the final page reads, 'see you in volume nine'. The story is definitely not wrapped up yet, and the mangaka mentions in the notes at the end that she feels like there is still a lot of the story left to tell.

So there's still plenty more Rain for all of us. ^^

Glad you guys are loving Immortal Rain! I think it's a great series! We're releasing the books as fast as we can but please understand that they come out very slowly. Hopefully we can do the prequel as well.

I read in one of the anime magazines (I think it was Anime Insider) that even in Japan, Immortal Rain only releases on a yearly schedule. When you add the inevitable delay in getting the US version ready, it's no wonder that the volumes come out at such a slow pace.

Ozaki Kaori is self-declared　なまけもの！　:) 　A little annoying, but it makes the releases special, I think! I really like her art.
The English of Vol 8 came out?! Of course it would the minute I leave! :p And メテオ　メトズラ　is IMPOSSIBLE to find here!! :broken_heart: Am I saying it wrong?
