Since the initial rules were somewhat confusing, for simplicity's sake, ALL votes are now private and to be sent in a PM to alucard666 (http://messageboard.tokyopop.com/forums/member.php?u=2279). Just make the subject "blue pen contest vote" or something of the like and state that "I vote for #," and it's as easy as that. Just pick ONE. You can comment on the pictures here.

If contestants want to comment they must comment for ALL of them, including their own (make some bs up but make it seem real) or don't comment any.

#1: Good overall. Needs some better presentation (scanner). Also, some more creativity in the pose, face. (Just my opinion--you should do whatever feels right to you).

#2: Great detail, I like the hair as well as the detail to the fans, eyes and butterflies. This is my pick for winner because looking at it makes you look past the fact that it's a blue pen. It shouldn't matter in my opinion. It's just a nice picture in general. <I don't know if that makes sense or not XD> Anyways, good job.

#3: A nice sketch. Overly simplistic in my opinion and the fingers seem pointy. However, besides that, it is anatomically sound. Could use some depth? Shading perhaps? Just me.

#4: Very nice. Flowers are cool and the shading that you used brings it out well. However, the degree of difficulty for this one, to me, doesn't seem very high. It looks like you drew it very quickly.

#5: Good anatomy--I can tell you spent time on this. Maybe it's me but the head is a bit large? That could just be your style. Also, it feels cluttered to me--the main character seems to be mixed up in the background and doesn't stand out enough. Good overall though. Probably would be stronger in a different medium.

#6: I think there are some anatomical issues--especially with the upper leg--the positioning of the knee is off. Keep at it. You'll get there.

#7: This picture reminds me of....Something..Nostalgic sorta. The way you drew her feet in contact with the grass makes it look like she has paws, also something looks awkward with the positioning of her legs/knees. But I think the idea is good. It's simplistic but not overly simplistic like some others because I can sense some of the emotion you're trying to convey.

#8: Really creative, but I'm just not feeling the background--just an opinion, mind you. The anatomy is okay. I suppose I'm a bit prejudice because a pet peeve of mine are hands and the one holding the book is obviously backwards....I looked no further.

#9: Halloween theme. Nice. If it were colored i think it would better represent the scene. It's just too busy for blue pen--things get mushed into one. P.S. love the cat. Ha-ha.
