I just picked up a copy of RG Veda volume 5 and the first thing I noticed was that it didn't have a color insert. You guys have been really good about including one every volume since #2, so why the change?

Whether or not a book gets color inserts is determined by how many copies are printed. When that figure falls below a certain number, it's no longer economical to include the color pages. Unfortunately, RG Veda has not sold well enough to keep the color. Sorry about that.

That's rather unfortunate.

However, mizushimo, if you're really interested in the color images from RGVeda, CLAMP put together a BEAUTIFUL artbook. You should really check into it. It's a bit pricy, but it's probably CLAMP's most gorgeous artbook. (IMO, anyway)

Yeah, I think I have it ^^;. I spent $50 bucks a few years ago on an import boxed artbook called "Hitenmumain RG Veda"(Vol 1??), it's gorgeous but it only has a few of my favorite pictures *sigh*.

I was really hoping that Tokyopop would continue to compliment CLAMP's most richly illustrated manga with the original color inserts.

Yeah... The color makes a HUGE difference.
