I've heard of it, and it's been reccomended to me, but I'm waiting for it to come off of the new release shelf because I'm a tightwad.

It's fantastic. Some of the morality issues bug me, but the series and movie are works of art and highly entertaining.

I've been a fan since day one, as in, the first time I saw it, recently got the dvd set, and ive ordered Serenity, because for some reason, my store didnt have it in.

I've also heard that Serenity is supposed to be part of a Trilogy, any word on a sequel?

Firefly is my favorite tv series :DDD I kinda wished for another season, but dragging it out might ruin it, although I'm all for another movie :).

Yeah, I have the Firefly box set and I got up at 6am the morning Serenity came out and went to get it at Wal-Mart which didn't have it yet so I camped outside of Circuit City until they opened, grabed my copy and rushed back home to watch it :D .

Yes, I have Firefly on DVD. I love Serenity though, and I hope Joss Whedon will make the next two movies. What I've heard (not sure if anyone mentioned it) He's supposed to make atleast two more movies, but I'm not sure about another season.

Fox makes me angry, it's their fault that it got canceled.

I had never heard of Firefly until I worked on the visual effects for Serenity. I immediately loved it!

Things may have changed, but during production there was constant talk about a trilogy (but no revival of the TV series).

In fact, we were invited to a cast and crew screening and the cast actually showed up. They had a great time taking pictures of each other in front of the screen and luaghing at their own scenes. They had a great attitude. More actors should be so humble.

My friend got me into this. It's a kick ass series, and Joss Whedon is a kick ass writer.

Rumor has it he's currently making Wonder Woman. @_@

They should make another season.
There can never be too much Firefly imo.
It is the greatest shows of all time, and it looks like it is going to stay that way for quite some time!
(Or atleast until Joss Whedon creates something else)

i agree Joss should go ahead and continue Firefly. I don't care if the second season doesn't get aired on Fox or the Sci-fi, and goes straight to DVD. i would still buy it and i'm pretty sure that the thousands of fans that Firefly has would to.

btw was anyone in the old fanpimp team for Firefly (it was called browncoats)?
http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com but i don't think that works anymore :(

What? New release shelf? But it's not a new release. Weird.

I also love Firefly, it's a great series. And Nathan Fillion is awesome (and Canadian XD)
Serenity was cool, but also sad. :( Has anyone read Serenity: Those Left Behind? It explains a little of what happened between the end of the series and the film.

@filofilm: Aw, man. That must have been totally awesome! *is jealous* :D

James Cameron is making Battle Angel and it won't be out until around 2009 because he's shooting a different movie first. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0437086/

I highly doubt there will be another movie in the Firefly verse but it would be cool. But it really wouldn't be the same since you know who died :( .

I noticed just today, my Photography teacher looks like an older Nathan Fillion, He has no idea about the whole Firefly 'verse, but after I told him he vowed to go check it out.

I love the show. I haven't seen all the episodes and I've seen the movie (which was good but sad). I hope the sequels are made. Gotta love Scifi channel for showing it.

Loved Firefly the moment it premiered on FOX, but I kinda knew it was doomed because science-fiction--especially ones set in space--really don't last very long on broadcast U.S. television. And on FOX, Firefly really didn't stand a chance because it was one of the more expensive shows on the network and its low ratings didn't justify its cost.

I still don't know how Whedon managed to convince the execs at Universal Pictures to sign off on a movie to a series that only lasted 14 episodes (of which only 11 were aired). The DVD sales of the T.V. series must have really been spectacular!

I hate to sound pessimistic, but I really don't have much hope in a Serenity sequel, although I would love to see it as a miniseries on SCI-FI channel...

I love this show. I just finished watching it... it's a real shame that it was cancelled, and really stupid too.

Probably my favorite tv series. They cancelled it just when River stopped being annoying. >_<

Revival Post in the hopes of sparking a conversation, what do you think the repercusions of "The Information" that was broadcast at the end of Serenity will be? How will it effect the stability of the Aliance?

Personally I think that the Alliance might try to cover it up by claiming it to be a hoax by people who are trying to make the Alliance government look bad (probably blame the Browncoats or people in the Outer rim). I think that the Alliance will falter, but they won't be destroyed completely.
But like Mr. Universe said "You can't stop the signal". So no matter what, the message will get across to those who choose to believe and those who choose not to believe.

Honestly, I haven't given it much thought. I guess after the movie, I just considered the show done and didn't imagine what would happen to the 'verse.

I watched the movie first and then watched a marathon of the series on Sci-fi Channel, which only made me want more. It's funny how you can get really into a series after it ends.
