ehm..I dunno about north carolina but if your interested there are a few in Georgia *just 2 states down* lol. Here we've got momo-con (free small anime convention @ georgia tech), Coony-con (never been to this one so I don't know about it), Dragon-Con (has some anime stuff but mostly for sci-fi fans, a pretty huge convention though), and of course AWA (anime weekend atlanta, another big convention in atlanta, about 2000-3000 ppl are there I think. It's pretty fun, that's the main one I go to every year.
