I love her music. Everything she does is great. Her music from Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Ghost in the Shell, and Escaflowne always get stuck in my head.

I think she is one of the best composers of all anime.

Does anyone know if she has any like.. compilation cds out or something? or do you have to buy the soundtracks to the animes? o.O

I used to be head over heels for her, but I've lost quite a bit of respect for her "creativity" after finding out she lifts and even blantantly copies other songs.

Best example? GiTS OST - "Where Does The Ocean Go" is Bjork's "Hyperballad"

Are you kidding me... did she give credit to Bjork at all (ie "remake")?
Well you do know, she's quite a character, as most arrogant composers are.
She gave quite a performance in LA a few years back. I wish I could've seen it.

I'm not aware of any credit, but I have not looked at the GiTS OST booklet (as I don't have it, hmmm). They are so ridiculously close to each other though, it's not even funny. Both songs are easy enough to obtain, so it's worth a listen. "Where Does The Ocean Go" is simply an octave lower (or whatever the term would be) with different lyrics.

Yeah, same here.

I love her music! Got into her because of Cowboy Bebop and I love Wolf's Rain music (really beautiful). Cowboy Bebop's music is the jazzy type for the most part which I love. You can recognize her music even if you don't know it's hers (or maybe that's just me; Wolf's rain had the same sorta of feel like Cowboy Bebop's somewhat).

I never knew that.

Yes, she is a composer that does the sound track for cowboy bebop, ghost in the shell, wolf's rain, and Escaflowne. All of which I have seen & now own DVD's of.

She even has her own "band" the seatbelts. I'm not sure if they actually tour or anything, but they do play as needed for her various projects.

So far I have really enjoyed everything that I have heard from her.
