I prefer manga overall. Though there are a couple series I liked better as anime. Fullmetal Alchemist for one, also Vision of Escaflowne. (minus the movie, which sucked)

I prefer most Gundam series as anime rather then manga. Otherwise I much prefer the manga versions of titles.

I think it depends. For me, I enjoyed Inuyasha and Weiss Kreuz in anime better. But then, Pet Shop of Horrors and FAKE were better as manga. Depends on how it's done

It really depends but 90% of the time the anime doesn't really do the manga justice. ^^;; There are good anime out there with it's own unique-ness but when you read the manga and compare, the manga is usually better off. I prefer manga persoanlly.

I like manga better. It doesn't take up so much time, and it's what the author originally intended for the series. There ARE exceptions though. I tend to like the anime version of Angelic Layer more than the manga version. :p

yeh. some anime are really bad compare to the manga.
one anime that i think that doesn't follow the manga very well is fruits basket. its cool and everything, but they cut out so many details and it seems somewhat unfinished.

Fruits Basket was actually okay, it was the fact they ended it as the "first season". I'm sure it would've came out really well if they decided to continue it on to another season, which they never did. ^^;;

I like anime more. I love reading manga too, but anime is more enjoyable to me.

Manga. I can't explain why, but I find reading to be much more engrossing than a lot of hooplah and action on screen.

Plus, usually, manga has more story in it and makes the characters more in-depth.

I prefer manga, and I kinda tend to get bored of anime when I watch it. For example, I would get a whole series and then stop caring after episode 05. :(

I like manga better. Some anime shows just ruin the look of the characters. Like Saiyuki (Sanzo just isn't right). But some anime series are better, like Yu Yu Hakusho.

of course it's manga all the way.. but sometimes I like shounen anime because it gives off a more action feel. :)

I think it depends on the title actually.. But mostly of the anime and manga that I could compared.. I prefer manga. Even if there's something just catchy about anime, kind of makes it more real I don't know.. but the manga in a way as more depth and less plot holes! IF there's one thing that I hate is when I actually think to compare manga with anime and discover that most of my favorite scenes are gone! :P

Manga, personally. Cheaper to get hold of, which means i can get more of it's goodness, yay!

I'll soon run out of room for me....but I'll keep going!

i like them both; but seeing as anime stemmed from manga - there is more of an argument for manga being better; however it depends on ure mood and the interpretation of the anime in question + great series like serial experiments lain are purely anime (not based on manga), so there's a point for argument there

i think it depends on what i'm in the mood for, but i guess i would say manga, because you can take it with you wherever you go and read it during class and whatnot...

I prefer manga, but I love anime as well. I have a lot more manga then I do anime. And the story always seems to be better in the manga.

Manga. It's cheaper for one thing. I can also enjoy it wherever I want, whenever I want.

I tend to prefer manga too, In fact I can't think of a time I've preferred an anime version off the top of my head. I have however heard bad things about a fair few anime-came-first manga like the Princess Tutu manga which isn't supposed to be anywhere as good as the anime.

I usually find myself reading the manga before watching the anime. Then there are things like the Fruits Basket anime that doesn't include the entire story like the manga does. Not to mention those series from Korea like Kill Me, Kiss Me that don't have anime series out that I know of. My favorite part about the anime though is during the senkai genre, it's easier to see what's going on in the fights between the giant robots than in the manga.

i prefer manga
you can keep skipping easier
-and theirs lots more-
[anime voices can sometimes ruin your vision of wat a character would sound like]

I discovered anime long before i descovered manga, but i have to say they are pretty much even in my book. I like naruto A LOT as a manga, and FMA A LOT as an anime. It's all a matter of what series. :D

i perfer manga since you can't have a tv with you all the time to watch anime but you can have a book ^^...
plus mangas usually have more of the plot in them then the anime

I would say manga because there is usually more to the story. But I also like to see it animated.

Manga first then watch the anime to see how they changed it.

Ahh, the age old debate.....I personally don't prefer one over the other, I find that both can offer a different, yet interesting perspective to a series that I enjoy.

I tend to value manga and anime the same really. There are some things that viewing it in live action (anime) can help understand what is going on, but others it is not needed, and the visual components (manga) does alright then.

If I had to choose, I would prefer to read the manga over watching the anime, but that is due mostly to the fact that most of the time, the manga came first and is the closest to the writers / artists true intention to share.
