I ate cat food and it WASN'T a dare.

Exluding other not-as-edible things(blood, my own flesh[...]), I'd say whole baby octopus. Calamari is fine, but octopi have that whole head there...

And it's not nearly as good as calamari. Squid are superior!

Before all the mad cow/bird flu scare crap, you used to be able to buy interesting parts of animals cheap at the grocery store. I've eaten some interesting organs, mostly from poultry. Brains aren't very good, really.

But the best thing we ever made was "Pig Face Soup".

We bought a pig's face, no brains, no eyes, most of the nose bits gone, just the cheeks and eye sockets really. We tossed it in a big pot with some beans and assorted spices and cooked it like you would a good bean soup. It was amazing. :P Pig face soup pwns all.

I always found kangaroo too tough for my liking unless cooked rather rare and I don't want tapeworm... It also has a 'smell' to it. Kangaroo is eaten alot more often by dogs in Australia than humans (Main meat other than offal in dog food)

I would say chocolate, dipped in nacho cheese, dipped in whip cream, frozen, then dipped in more nacho cheese. I call it chocoleese. I love it. But if you eat too much, you projectile vomit. Only once though.

Goat is really greasy. I don't like it. Same goes for duck.

Mmm... I haven't really tried a lot of weird foods, but I might try Jindo dog one day, which is a Korean delicacy. They hang up dogs on a string by the legs, and beat it with sticks until the meat is tender. Then they put it in a soup. Yum.

You mean "chicken"? Funny thing, all processed meats(at least, in the US) can contain up to 10% foreign matter.

I believe it's ramped up to 90% for schools...

In sacrifice?

heh. no. In an Indian curry dish. Unlike chousenjin, the one I had was very dry and tough. I prefer lamb instead.

Duck, I absolutely love. Particularly peking duck, or duck in plum sauce for Chinese, and duck l'orange for European. I do agree that the roast duck you see hanging from windows in Chinatown is a bit greasy however.

I don't find it strange, but some people think eating raw beef is weird. There's a korean dish made of sliced raw beef with raw egg yolk and sesame oil that's quite tasty. Although you have to make sure everything is fresh or else it's Salmonella on a Plate. :D

a while back munkchunk13 said sushi eating was weird, which I cannot agree with since sushi is like the best food in the world. But, one sushi item that i do think is weird/yucky is Uni. You know... Sea Urchin. And the part of the sea urchin you eat when you order it in a sushi restraunt is the reproductive orgin of the urchin! 0_0
But anyway I tried it and it was like eating pure ocean flavor.

I feel totally tame after reading this. Um, I've eaten dog food before, and an abalone sandwich. It's a shellfish, and it was al grinded up and it was chewy and pasty and this funky grey colour. but it didn't taste like anything to me. Most seafood doesnt. i lead a dull, dull life. But my cousin and friend made me drink this really nasty concoction of club soda, chips, vineagr, and all this other stuff. >.< It was groooosss. but I wouldn't eat it so they locked me in a dog cage. i got out though, and i tried the stuff. >.<

Vimto. If you don't know what it is, it's an artificially flavored almost fruit flavored drink that has 2 kinds of sugar (one is glucose) plus saccharine. The bottle suggests you drink it heated. I didn't know it was supposed to be a concentrate so I drank an entire cup of it and couldn't sleep for more than a day. It also tastes very odd (why did they add saccharine if it already has sugar) and is an anagram of Vomit.

My favorite fruit is Durian which some people think smells horrible.

I may want to know how you make a dead baby shark happy... but I'm afraid it will be something that I will regret having heard.

Filet au poivre. Disgusting French delicacy with a sause that tastes like chocolate, which is NOT good with meat. Haggis. Sweatmeats. Head cheese. And blood pudding. This is all because my sister works at a really fancy restaurant... honestly, does it make sense to pay for food that makes most people want to throw up? (Then again, does it make sense that she ate it for money? Then gave some to me?) I've also eaten those bug lollipops and popcicles, corn smut, venison, and dog food. but the absolutely most outrageous thing I've ever eaten would have to be...the cheeseburgers at my school. Sometimes, I get a little grunch, sometimes hair, other times I find these gelatenous blobs just sitting in the middle of the burger. I don't think they're beef at all. I don't think they're even meat. XPP

Homecooked Filipino food for me :p Let's see:

balut -- a boiled duck egg, complete with underdeveloped fetus inside

dinuguan -- a pork dish with...pig intestines drenched in a pig blood sauce. The adults in my family call it 'chocolate meat' so the kids will eat it :(

kambing -- a goat. Similar in taste to lamb. The weird thing: I've eaten the brains and eyes.

Flour, baking soda and cooking spray. I was making cookies one day, and wanted to know what each ingredient tasted like on its own. Flour is pretty tastey, especially when sprinkled with salt. Other weird things include tosted tunafish sandwhichs with cheese doddles, and Lucky Charms. PBJ sandwhichs with marshmellows, sprinkles, chocolate sauce and cherrys now that was good ^_^.

A garbage plate

This is actually the most famed dish served in my city. It originated at a hot dog joint called Tahou's but now every little po-dunk restaurant has their version of it (not as good of course). it consists of home fries or french fries, mac salad or potato salad with either 2 hamburgers, cheezburgers, hot dogs, grilled chickens, or fried eggs piled on top (no buns). On top of that are onions and Tahou's secret hot sauce (meat based more than red sauce based so it kinda resembles chili without the beans and tomatos). I like mine with french fries, mac salad and cheezburgers with LOTS of ketchup. While it may not be the most outragious thing listed, if your not a local (and sometimes if you are) you consider this a heart attack on a plate. And yet many folks eat these weekly - me, i limit myself to one a year.

I ate about half of one of those Bacon strips for dogs that taste like bacon but really isn't just to see if it really did taste like bacon... it didn't, it was all salty on hard. I was about five or so at the time, and a very weird child as I had also shoved polly pockets not once, but thrice times up my nose and every time freaked out cuz it started to bleed. I didn't like it, the bacon stripes. And wet/dry dog/cat food isn't all to tasty either.

Let me see, most outragous thing I've ever eaten...I think that would be conch fritters in Key West. You know conch, those giant shells that Hawaiians and Conchs (the term for people native to Key West) use as musical instruments and ceremonial horns. Pretty conchs...at any rate conchs are a delicacy in Cayo Hueso (that litteraly translates to "bone island" if you were wondering) and conch fritters are pretty good. A little chewy, like most mollusks, but let me tell you, they're good. I blame Tony Bourdain for even inspiring me to try them in the first place.

Cow's tongue is a common dish down here, and I love it.

There's also de Sopa de Patas that might include the soft inside of cow hooves, udder or intestines. Despite it being one of our traditional dishes I have never eaten, nor do I want to.

Therefore the most outrageous thing I've eaten so far is snake fillet and frog (not just the legs, but the whole frog).

I also like eel in my sushi.
