At the time they were pretty new. Not forgetting I live in New Zealand, so prise's will differ.

What a useless topic.
I have two flash drives, one 500megs and one 125 megs, I have no idea the make, the brand, or the price and I have no desire to. They work. End of.

Toast, you really know how to rain on someone's parade.
Flash cards? I have 'em. And that's all I know. :(

...they're flash drives. I use them to store data. One's rectangle and silver, the other's gold and the case keeps falling off and exposing the ROM when I try removing it. Does anything else matter?
They're ROM!

If the topic's so useless then why are you posting in it? :biglaugh:
I've got about a 75 GB external hd, cost from around $80-$100.

Why not? Nowt better to do.
And we're talking about FLASH ROM memory, not HDD memory.

the thread's called "USB, flash cards"?
And a HDD isn't a data storage device, techncially speaking.

Uh, ok, you just said something really stupid. I'm not even gonna waste time thinking of a clever comeback.

I've got two Lexar flash drives that are exactly the same (cept the colors). They each cost about $30, and I mainly use them for school work and transferring files around from computer to computer. I don't know how much space is on them, but it's a decent amount if you're just using it for schoolwork, and some files.
The only problem I've ever had with them is I got some porn stuck on one of them kind of, but that's mostly user error. >.>

Kind of surprised you of all people would consider that a problem. O_o

It is a problem. I use the thing for school. Do you know how many times idiots have put porn on their flash drive, put school work on their flash drive, gone to do a class presentation plugged in their flash drive and had porn come up on the big screen for the whole class to see? I've heard stories of it happening more times than I like. That could have happened to me! D:

Heh, you made me lawl. :biglaugh:
And grateful that all presentations were done with an old-school slide projector, since I could totally see that happening to me. :o
Wonder what the final grades were for those presentations...

I have a 1 gig SanDisk Cruzer CrossFire, it's been really good for me, never lost any files or had it not work. I've had it for almost 2 years now :) I use it for art files and small programs. It's also good for taking fan subbed anime out and about to friends houses.

So, uh, Tokyopop employees don't have to follow the "respect the creators and pretend you watched it legally in Japanese" rule?

With any guess about the kinds of people that save porn to their school flash drives, it's probably safe to assume they got big fat F's on their presentations. :P I'm sure the class had a huge laugh though.

That's what I was afraid of. :(
They should've at least gotten D's, for entertainment value if nothing else.

I agree. By the way, to make this clear, I've never accidentally played porn for any of my classes. Or purposefully even. I do admit though that I was a real idiot for saving it to my flash drive. >.> For the rest of the semester I had to e-mail all of my homework to myself just in case.
