Word is spreading throughout the yaoi manga fandom that mangaka Tohjoh Asami has passed away. Although Asami-sensei was known primarily for her Boys Love manga, she also did mainstream manga. One of her titles, X-Kai-, is published in the US by Tokyopop.
You can read the Japanese announcement of her death and an English translation of the announcement here (http://www.hackthemainstream.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=595).

I heard the news earlier before it got posted. I like X-kai with it's two volumes coming out and now I hear that Tohjoh sensei dies? I was very devastated. I have read Dekka Sekka Boys, Glass Fruit, and many of her works and I was very fond of it. Still, I wanted to see what the rest of X-kai series T______T
Sheesh. Why is it that some of my favorite manga-kas die on such short notices? It's so sad. :( Although, it has been short when you enjoy yourself with other things and not realizing what's going on *sighs*
May you rest in peace. You will always be remembered in our :heart:s from all of us Tohjoh fans.
