I love Nana... Viz is kinda slow with publishing, so that's too bad. Anyway, I read up to volume 11 and some of vol 12. :)

I think I'm at the end of volume 11 (= will need to check on my manga reading list to see but too lazyyyy. I can't wait to see what happens to Hachi! I get so emotional with stories, I cry so easily at the sad parts. =3

I love Nana so far, I am really only caught up with the Shojo Beat chapters. But I am already hooked on the story. I can't wait to see how every thing turns out for the Nana's! :D

I really love this manga as well. I used to read some scanlations of it but as soon as the license was announced, I stopped. Now I'm buying it as it's released. :)

I wish I knew how to read Japanese.

But sadly I have to read VizMedia's license. But it being licensed isnt the sad thing, just the slowness. But I love it in Shojo Beat, has me looking forward to it every month(along with the other manga in Shojo Beat). This month issue was really...WOAH! For me. So I can't wait to read more.

An anime for NANA is coming next month, premiering in Japan on the 5th of April. The Japanese site (http://www.ntv.co.jp/nana/index.html) is up. I really want to see it, the animation(from what I see in the cast page, main characters so far) looks very good. I also want to see the movie too.

My friend and I must be the only two people in existance who don't like Nana.

I just find it completely pointless. The characters all annoy me... especially the ditsy Nana. The first two chapters completely turned me off of the series, but
I still read them every month in Shoujo Beat.

On a side note, I do like Ai Yazawa's drawing style and some of her other series.

I like Nana, but it's not my favorite manga ever or anything. I'm only up to what Shojo Beat is up to, so it might become more interesting or something, but so far I'm not very impressed.

I'm trying so hard to like NANA - everyone's told me it's a manga that needs to be read - but it's a bit of an uphill struggle. For some reason, Yazawa Ai's stuff is always a turnoff for me: her characters, her plots, her artwork...

Oh well, I'm giving the movie a go to see if it'll open up a door somewhere. :D

if you don't like it, why force yourself? :D There is so much other manga to read! Personally, I like Nana, and I enjoy Yazawa's drawing style, some of the expressions she gives to her characters have me laughing my head off.. :D

Woosh, we English are so far behind.
Anway, I've got the first two but with all the stuff I have to read, I've only read one. It's fantastic, just like Parakiss. I want to BEG tokyopop to publish Ai Yazawa's other works, especially Gokinjo, because that has a few of the same charactors as parakiss (Hehe, Mikako)

I didn't like the story an awful lot at first either. Nana Komatsu is kinda a silly immatre girl (At first at least!) but wait untill you see Nana Osaki! She's damn cool!

Yea, a lot of people like Nana Osaki more, including me. :)

not necessarily slow, its about the same time gap as most other novel of theirs.

I picked up my first volume of this when viz released it and was instantly hooked. The movie was great (I talked about it in the blog linked below in my sig) also. Its one of those series I'd rather wait to buy than go and get the scanlations.

Paradise Kiss was also a great Ai Yazawa series. Doesn't hold water to Nana, though.

Love the art, but can't stand Nana. It is *too* deep in the slice-of-life genre. Not to rain on everyone else's love of Nana, I'm sure I read manga that peole hate. I just don't get what people see in it. I think if it were just Nana, the rock chic, not the stupid other one, it would be fine. Nana's trials and tribs with that guy whose name I don't know...:D

Other than that, yep, hate Nana *looks around for snipers*
