A good YA romance novel is A Little Love Song - at least, I remember loving it a few years ago.
Oh, and if we're talking 'any kind of love' then I'm going to go a little OT and suggest you give the Robin Hobb Assassin, Liveship Traders and Tawny Man series a go - they're full of... different types of love. :D

I've always enjoyed Teresa Medeiros' romance novels, b/c even if they are genre (formula) fiction, her characters leap off the page and come alive. I've exchanged letters with her over the years. Her style constantly improves. I recommend "Whisper of Roses" without any reservation--it's a romance novel so good, I wrote a dissertation on it.

If you like mystery, I like the "Maggie" series by Kasey Michaels. Particularly if you like Regency romance (which is really the only straight romance genre I can read anymore).

Maurice by E. M. Forster is my favorite book, and the only romance book I've ever enjoyed. Well, it's not necessarily a romance, as it focuses in a lot on Maurice's struggles, but a lot of his troubles revolve around his romantic intersests at least.

I've read a few by some author I don't remember. The books always started with Dark and they had to do with carpathians the guys who turn into vampires when they lose thier soul.

Sarah Dessen has written great Teen Romance Novels.
Some of her books include: This Lullaby, Someone Like You, The Truth About Forever, Dreamland, Keeping the Moon, and That Summer
In April, a new book of hers is to be released. It's called Just Listen
^^ All of her books are very good and very well written.
They all provide the awkwardness of love when you are a teenager.
:3 I say you all should read them! :3 They're so cute. XD

The Dark Hunter Novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0312934327/qid=1143398644/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-1862137-1468024?s=books&v=glance&n=283155), a good mix of romance and the supernatural (were beats, vampires and gods)

I love her work also. The first book I read by her was a Breath of Magic, a very loong time ago. I remember her heroine though, and the fact that since she was from a different time, she didn't shave her legs. *lol*
She also puts a nice twist on all the old fariy tales like Beauty and the Beast.

I think Julia Quinn is one of my favorites, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, comes to mind. Very good.
I agree with you Klawzie on the Regency Romances are by far better than most others.
I like the Key series by Nora Roberts.
I JUST picked up The Debutante Divorcee by Plum Sykes today, it just came out this month and I haven't started it yet, it's only Sykes second book and I heard good things about the first altho I didn't pick it up myself. I'm not exactly sure if this is a romance BUUUT, I've heard good things about it as well, I'll let ya know if it's something worth picking up after I read it. ^^

Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice. Though if you don't like homosexual relationships, you may not wanna read it. Also her beauty series, very erotic but very good. :)

Historical romances are the bestest!! I love Mary Balogh and Lisa Kleypas the best!! And if you like the strange but modern romances, you should try reading anything by Kate MacAlister. Esp. Sex, Lies, and Vampires and Blow Me Down, which is about getting sucked into an online RPG about pirates and all this crazy stuff happens with lots of love scenes....it's great. ^_^

I think you're talking about Christine Feehan's vampire novels. These books are good, but the get rather repetitive after a while. Sherrilyn Kenyon's Darkhunter books (I think someone mentioned these already) on the other hand, deal in the same sort of thing, but manage not to fall into the same slump. Plus, they're just a lot of fun to read.
Linda Howard, Julie Garwood and Suzanne Brockmann are also really good romance authors if you like suspense. Anne Stuart is in the same boat, though her novels can get pretty dark. If you like historical romance, Lynn Kurland is fabulous, plus her books don't ever stray past a pg-13 rating. Nora Roberts is just an all around great romance author, though with so many novels out, some of her stuff is hit and miss for me. I recommend sticking with her newer stuff (like 1990 and up) as the older books are a little dated.
If you are looking for romance other then in a romance novel, I suggest Juliet Marillier's works. She has six books out currently in the US belonging to three different series, all of which are wonderful (though Daughter of the Forest is the best).
Hope that helps.

whats a good romance manga or anime?
CrazyCat

For manga, I suggest
INVU but who knows when the next volume will come out
Dramacon but the second volume won't come out until october maybe
Alice 19th - 7 volumes long
Ceres (anime too) - it's also sad though
Wish - 4 volumes long
Hana Kimi - very funny
Girl Got Game - 10 volumes long, kind of like Hana Kimi
Fushigi Yugi (anime too) - can be sad too
For anime
Voices of a Distant Star - only a half hour long but sweet
Escaflowne (manga too) - actually...you'll want something happen
There's probably more that I can't think of at the moment.

No problem. I apparently love romance novels. I don't know why but it's just so much fun to read. Lately, my passion's been for INVU and Dramacon. I was surprised to find myself so excited about it. =^.^=
Ack! How could I forget Fruits Basket?! It's really good but romance isn't the entire main point. It's also long and not done but sooo good. It can be sad at times too.

No, but I'll add it to my long list of manga to read. My friend reads twice as fast as me so she gave a list of about 20 different mangas for me to read. It's insane! So much manga, so little time!

 Whoa. My library don't have that many manga and I usually go to Borders or Barnes and Nobles but they're both on a highway that requires a car and someone to drive me there so I don't go that often. *sigh*

I don't buy manga unless I have a gift card or something along those lines. I usually just sit and read at Borders for an hour or two. ^.^'

I recently read a wonderful romance novel called Summer Liaison by Basem Darwish. This novel was absolutely the best romance novel that I have read in years. The basic plot is three hot, sexy women fighting over one gorgeously attractive and irresistible man. This book has all the elements of the perfect romance novel, such as drama, passion, love, romance, humor, entertainment, and finally yet most importantly, lots of steamy physical encounters. If you are looking for a wonderful page-turner, make sure you buy this book. You can go to the following link to read a synopsis, a free preview, and to purchase the book.

The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is just amazing. It's not completely romance, more historical fiction with romance added. Really strong storyline, so interesting and cool. I learned so much about Scotland. Check them out if you have time :)

if you like light romance mixed with vampires i suggest the 'Vampire kisses' series thats if you like "gothic" romances. i think the only reason it was actually considered gothic was because the lead girl was and it had vampires in it so i dont know, but i enjoyed it eitherway ahaha. If you like building romances and what not mixed with psychics and stuff, i suggest 'Dont Die Dragonfly' it was really good! and i really enjoye Holly Blacks books. they dont all connect together with the same people and what not, but there all connected within the story (I know confusing haha) I suggest Tithe (sp?) i really liked that one alot and it remains my favorite to this day. Its a modern tail of Faerie. its a dark romance (and i can kind of see why) because of really odd refrences, and thoughts of the lead girl, and the dark side of Faeries. Another wards its not a good book for kids who only see the light side of life no 10 year old should read it, at least in my opinion.
hope that helped a bit!
