D: Too many deaths in the news these days.

I hate to say this but my first thought was...did he finish the book?

Doesn't look like it. Aparently he told his family all the important plot points tho.

that was my first thought too
I didn't really believe all the rumors I had heard about him being seriously ill..until now tho. I guess he got his wish tho, he kept writting up til the very end.

Says here his wife's finishing the last book, following notes he gave her. So that's something.

I think I'd rather just know what happens rather than read someone else's continuation...even following his guidelines.

from what I heard before (from 3rd party info) when he knew he didn't have much time left in this world, he started to condense the ending so it would all fit into one last book. Goodness knows how many more books he would have gone on with if not for his illness. But I wonder if shrinking this story into one book will make the ending...less dramatic? more confusing? by putting so much info into so little a space.

I suppose the wuestion is, how much of it had he already written?

@adichappo: Actually before he became ill he announced the 12th book would be the last even if he had to write 15000 pages iirc.

WHeel of Time? *Hangs head*. Sad to see him go. I never read the series, but I heard it was good. I wanted to read it, but I was so busy reading all things Dragonlance, that I forgot about it.
