I was recently over at TokyoPop Germany's website (www.tokyopop.de) and noticed that they have a number of great titles not yet licensed in the US.
I was wondering if there is a greater chance of TokyoPop picking up a certain title if it's already licensed by TP Germany? Or are you not influenced by each other at all?

I would imagine that the situation with Tokyopop Germany might be very different than the one here in the US. More and more, it seems as though companies in the US are building alliances with their counterpart Japanese publishers -- Kodakawa with DelRey, Viz with Shogakukan and Shueisha, etc... However, I don't think that's the case with Germany, so licensing issues might be more easily dealt with over there or something. However, that's merely speculation. I'd love to know the answer to your question, too.

it could also be the the audience that they are aiming for there is a different demographic, so they bring different titles there ^^

So the German branch prints in German?
What are the chances of Tokyopop coming into the Latinamerican market?
Sorry for slightly going off-topic, but currently there is only one editor in Mexico and one in Argentina. Those of us living in the rest of the continent have to import our manga from them, the US or Spain, making the actual price double or even triple (in the case of importing from Spain).

Apparently Viz only has those rights in the US.

It's pretty much separate.
As for Bleach and the like, Shueisha decided to make a deal with TOKYOPOP Germany for German-language manga instead of going into the market themselves. Shueisha deals with VIZ for English-language manga.
