The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya DVD

Is it just me or does anyone else notice this catastrophe? I've gone on certain sites and seen that their are more than 7 episodes and saw that the episode order was different compared to the DVD. I was wondering, are their only 2 Haruhi DVDs?

One more thing, the second DVD has an episode that isn't on the site where I watched the rest. I think I found the third DVD, it's to be released on September 25 I think of this year.

Basically, there's 4 regular DVD's, subbed/dubbed in the DVD episode order.

Then the special edition releases include those discs, along with Bonus Discs that include the broadcast versions of the episodes, in their broadcast version order. These special editions also include assorted music CD's, merchandise and artboxes with special alternate dvd art.

So, regular edition=DVD order, special=dvd order+broadcast order on bonus discs. The broadcast order is subonly though, which is how the japanese licensors would allow Bandai to do it [as the broadcast episodes were NOT released in Japan on DVD, so you can imagine in the finangling involved in getting them to us]

Isn't is possible to buy the DVD order edition which I assume is cheaper than the special broadcast order edition, look up the original Japanese broadcast order from some web site, and then watch the DVD order editions episode by episode using the broadcast order information that was looked up?

Or are the broadcast order episodes different in content somehow?

Ok wait, so the limited edition DVD has a different episode order than the regular DVD?

No. The limited edition has the episodes in numerical order (episode 2 follows episode 1 etc.) plus an additional DVD with the episodes in the order they broadcasted in Japan. So you get two DVDs.

Since this thread is about Haruhi, might as well talk about it. I've seen Lucky Star 1-4, it's alright. I was kind of expecting more from the creators of Haruhi, I also heard it had a low fan base so they changed the directors.
