i just wont to know were people shop. and you can talk about any thing fashion related too, just stay on topic please. and you can talk about cosplay in here too, just try to talk about your everyday attire, with it.

I like to shop at Hot Topic, they had a anime t-shirt sale and I bought some fruits basket shirts. I really wanna buy some wolf's rain and witch hunter robin stuff too. And I also shop at sears, since my mom works there and gets discounts

I don't wea-- Err, I mean, I get my pants from random places, but I've been getting an awful lot of game/anime shirts from places like Collector's Guide/Toy Mandala. Admittedly, Hot Topic now and then. Hey, they have good boots, dammit.

For the most part trendy second hand stores. We have the Buffalo Exchange which always carries awesome hard and rare shirts to find and other cool clothing you'd never see in a department store. For pants I go to Plato's Closet, all their clothes are used but in great condition and you can sell your stuff there too. There's a levi's store in my neighborhood where you can get levi's for cheap. So in other words I go to lots of local neighborhood stores. I like having things that no one else will have.

i feel poor -_-...i don't have much clothes...i have to wear my school uniform every day, which are expensive to buy since 1 shirt costs like $20 and a skirt costs like $40...but they last a LONG time(it's not that bad...i don't have to plan out an out fit every day and people can't tell if ya wear the same shirt 3 days in a row)but most of my clothes come from places like target...most of my closet is filled with costumes. my friend told me i need to buy more clothes..but i said i'd rather spend the money on cosplay...hehehe...i'm too decidated for my own good XP

Clothes - New York & Company, Express, Limited, Unicorn Clothing(it's a RennFest thing)
Shoes - Hot Topic, Torrid, Internet
Accessories - Various RennFest shops, Hot Topic

As far as thrift stores go, I pretty much stick to Killer Trash.

I live in Canada, so the shops I name will probably be unknown to you Americans out there.

Usually buy my clothes at Winners. Awesome brand name stuff at really good prices. I don't think I've ever spent more than $40 Canadian on a pair of jeans.
Sometimes I'll go to Zellers, 'cause they have good sales sometimes, but most of the time their clothes cost the same as anywhere else and are god-awful ugly.

I shop mostly at Forever 21... they're cute and CHEAP.
But, if I could afford it, I'd shop way more at Anthropologie and Abercrombie, because their clothes are so comfortable.

The end.

looking for Marshal Fields people and Mace's people i feel so alone. but i have like 20 to 30 different stores in my area that sells cloths, it would be hard to name them, i only shop at the first few stores i have mentioned. i am closed to mall of America and man you could do damage to your wallet there, that's why i dont go there.

I don't really have a "direct" place to shop. Anywhere and everywhere is fine. As long as its comfortable.

Example:
See nice displayed store. Walks in. Grabs a couple of shirts, pants, etc. Try on. Look in mirror. Buys. Walks out.

Eh. But I do like hanging out at Hot Topic from time to time. I just like to browse around at that store, listening to music.

When I was younger [in high school] I could have cared less what I wore so I would shop at WalMart, Target, the cruddy stores in my local mall. But now that I am in a more professional school and atmosphere [co-owning a business] I have upgraded to Abercrombie & fitch [for my fun time clothes =) ], Express, Guess, BeBe, Macy's.. Places like that... It's more expensive which means I can only buy one or two things a month instead of two or three out fits, but they last longer... Tho I haven't gotten the nerve to buy a pair of jeans over $70 USA dollars... tempted yes, but I can't see blowing a whole paycheck on one pair of jeans. =( So with those I usually stick with places like Wet Seal and Kohls.

Yeah, they are made for freakishly thin people. I was talking to someone and she was like, "this is an Abercrombie shirt." and I said "You're tall, you must be wearing an M" but she said, "No, it's an S" and I was like...

what is the average amount you people spend, if you dont mind saying, for me in the last 2 years i have spent around 2500 to 3000 dollars on clothes that is triple that i have spent on manga and anime. and i shop Clarence. this is how i am in a clothes store "look at that, WHAT 59.95, well you are worth every penny" "ya a Clarence rack, (looking, looking) a sweater for 15.95 your mine (now i am scaring other people away)." and so on and so on that is how i act in marshal fields i cant seem to put stuff back unless it dose not fit.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were secretly my sister. She owns something like 30-40 pairs of JEANS. @___@ Her room is full of PILES AND MOUNTAINS of dirty and clean clothing.
I love clothes but I never seem to be able to have the money to spend on them. My approximation would be only about 500 per year AT MOST on clothes, sadly.

I probably spend like 1500 on clothes a year.
I love clothes just as much as manga/anime it seems. :(
I recently got a walk-in closet and actually get to hang up all my stuff now!!! It wasn't until then I noticed I have so much....

I have like 10 pairs of black pants , 20 pairs of jeans *mostly blue w/ different patterns and or designs*, 20 skirts...unlimited tops, jackets, hats, shoes, purses*LOTS and LOTS of purses* and other accessories...

If I didn't have so many clothes, manga, anime, and games. I'd probably have quite a bit of money saved up and invested somewhere. Heh.

Hm. Last time I went clothes shopping was in November. I think it was at Ross. Really, I just don't buy new clothes often: I spend most my extra money on art supplies or manga and the like. I take good care of the stuff I DO have though. Like, my shoes are from my sophmore year of highschool (I'm in college now ^__^) but they're still in great condition, with no holes or anything. Just a little dirty since I used them for weight-training in junior year.

However, thrift stores are love. I have a Noir shirt and this gorgeous embroidered chinese vest that I found at the goodwill XD

Miako

I pride myself on my T-shirt collection. My usual attire consists of a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. I buy all of my shirts online. The majority of my shirts are from web comics or web cartoons, so I get them off of their websites. I also buy anime and video game shirts online from various places. The majority are from Homestarrunner and Penny-arcade, but I have a few others like a limited editon Happy Tree Friends from San Diego Comic Con. thinkgeek.com has good shirts. I haven't bought a shirt in a store in like 3 years.

I hate to sound cheap, but I usually get my clothes from either Sears or Wal-Mart. I just can't see wasting a lot of money on a $50 pair of jeans. To me jeans are jeans, if I could find them cheaper then $15 it wouldn't bother me to buy a lot. My style. . . hmm simple I guess. I love to wear jeans and long-sleeved over shirts. The ones that are a bit more business-casual. Maybe since for one, I am a guy, and two for most of my life I could never afford a designer pair of jeans. But my sisters sure can spend a lot of money on clothes. I mean $150 on shoes, it shocks me.

Malls are much neater if you get out of the parts that are open to the public and into the tunnel like bits behind the stores. :D

They're also much more creepy in the middle of the night after everyone has left and there is noone around. :D

I do like their suits!!! I like how they have the same swimsuit in lots of different cuts, because sometimes I like the style of a swimsuit but it's in a style I won't wear *like those boy shorts look dumb on me* so I have to sigh and move on if I shop within a department store. I get catalogs for like everything so it makes it so much easier to shop and find stuff I like instead of having to settle for what the same stuff over and over again, there's only so many different styles of anything one company can make.

I actually don't own a VS swimsuit that I wear often right now. I'm into Newport News suits at the moment. ^_^

I had been wearing the same swimsuit for the past 6 years (not good...) and it was starting to have some elastic issues, so I just finally found and impulse bought a new one that I REALLY liked from Target. It's red-purple and has these gold rings, one in the middle of the top and one on the side of the bottom. You should try there, because they have the same thing of several cuts in the same fabric.

I have problems finding clothes that fit in most stores too. Except A&F, which is probably why I shop there a lot cause they have abnormal size standards. *that work for me* It seems like stores think everyone fits into these perfect size standards that from discussion with others really don't work for most people, and I don't have time to get all my clothes altered to actually fit correctly....or the money that would totally cut into my manga budget.
Altho not the same problem, I feel your pain on finding clothes that fit by just walking into the store. I personally don't have a butt tho. :( My profile lies with being tall *5'8* and under 120 lbs. it's REALLY hard to find pants that fit correctly *aren't to short, don't slip off my waist...* I don't know HOW I forgot this but. I also love Aeropostale clothes. ^_^ They have very cute hoodies.

I'm 5'9" and around 130. For the same reason, I have a hell of a time finding pants that are long enough in the leg without being huge, or that fit my thighs in the right way. So I totally understand your pain! You know where you should go? (I'm actually wearing them now,) but Hollister has nice jeans in an extra long length that actually are long enough for me! And they're cheap... I think they were only like $40 when I bought them.

I typically get all my clothes at 3 places: RightStuf, Marshalls, and Kohls. (Of course, working at the latter 2 helps...) However, if it doesn't come from tRSi, I don't pay much. Case in point: yesterday's wardrobe. The shirt was $2, pants $3.50, socks an acrrued $1.67, $1 for boxers, and since mom bought the shoes, they were pricey, at $7. All prices are before my employee discounts.

So I'm not a slave to fashion. I just want to look presentable for real cheap. I could probably put together an ensemble for about $10... and then I wonder why people pay $50+ for a pair of shoes... Well, the more I save, the more anime and manga I can buy!

not in my school, most guys ware more walmart and Target cloths, i go to more expensive stores like Macy's and Marshal Fields. it is just me all i just wont to do is fit in at my school with pricey over priced cloths, now that i think of it i could have around 300 more mangas in my collection if it wasn't for my obsession of looking good.

Plato's Closet eh? I think theres one of those near my house. I'll have to check that out.

I goto get my clothes at these fine locations:

Thrift Stores
Urban Outfitters
Buffalo Exchange
PacSun

I usually shop at Syrans or Stiches. I like it there because the clothes are cheap (about $20 per shirt, $40 per pair of jeans) they're my style, and they come in my size since I'm sorta on the petite side. Walmart is ok too when I'm low on cash. For shoes I usually go to Footlocker, and for less expensive footwear I shop at Payless.

Walmart stuff is rather cheap, but it's dull and since I'm really small, I go to the kids section. All the stuff there is crap and the semi-good stuff is endorsed by...say, Mary-Kate and Ashley or...Hilary Duff or...Barbie...you get my point. I go to GAPKids occasionally, but they add on too many little girlish glaring colour things to their line-ups. Winners for me, it's cheap and you can usually find something you like. I got my gothic loli-style brown skirt there. XP

I live a 2 hour drive from any real clothing stores, the closest place to go clothes shopping for me is Miami >.< heh so i usually order alot of stuff from the internet, I like the Ebay store "Refuse to be usual" which has alot of gothic lolita clothing i also like to order from SexPot ^^ i love the clothing! but when i dont have the money to do that i go to thrift stores, find stuff i like and material. I make alot of my clothes. When I get the chance i go to Hottopic they usually have nice clothes, but i do admit when i find a pair of Dollhouse jeans i buy them ^^ their my favorite jeans! haha

Mostly....the mall. Like department stores and stuff. I'm terrible at shopping for my own clothes since I'm so picky, and when I *do* find something, it's usually really expensive, so I just leave all the shopping to my parents at christmas. XD I can only competently shop for shoes and jeans.

I do have some things from h.Naoto, though. They're really nice, but sadly the shirt I've got looks terrible on me. XD I've only worn it in public once, and am considering selling it to Closet Child so I can maybe get some credit there to buy something better. :P

i am really really really really picky. you don't even know how picky i am. i dislike jeans very much. i don't dress a thing like goth people since im usually wearing white. i don't dress girly either. that means no pink or purple for me. well i do have one pink hoodie but that's it. i don't dress like guys either. im a bit preppy but just a little, the collar wearing part. im into shoes alot. having shoes match my clothing is a big deal. and a hat matching my outfit too. i love hoodies. i have all sorts. shortsleeve hoodies. long sleeve hoodies. sweeter hoodies. you name it.

so where do i shop???

EVERYWHERE.

Barneys for the nicer items, UNIQLO and H&M for cheaper, everyday items. And then the sample sales for my favourite designers whenever they have them in NYC. The Intermix clearance sale also tends to have really good bargains.

I live in Toronto (Canada) and I usually shop at Pacific Mall, Marketvillage, and other asian malls. The deals are really really good (once in a while)!!! They sell whats fashionable in EAST Asia as opposed to mainstream North American clothes which I don't wear. >.<;;; The good thing (sometimes bad) is that their clothes often only comes in sizes EXTRA SMALL to Medium max, as most asians have smaller builds. For Gothic Lolita they have a few stores their as well as one or two on Queen Street, or ordering online is an option...~

I used to buy at Target then I found Wal-mart then I found that chances are that I'll see girls with the same clothes are greater than I imagined. And because other stores are expensive I had to spend some time saving money just for one piece of clothing but WHAT ABOUT ACCESSORIES? So, my friend and I have now find cheap clothes and have put together some outfits that doesn't look so bad (I hope!!) That has become our new hobby.

Oh, I do love thrift shops, but you have to be careful, Whistle. Unless you're shopping in one of those tiny, smelly old ones, you need to have alot of patience when going into the big ones.
I go to the Village Thrift, which is about as big as a warehouse, and to look through it well, you need about three hours, alot of time and to not get tired^^;
